For a second straight year, Chatfield wrestling grabbed the Bi-State team title, not only in the Division III portion, but overall. Girls Wrestling: Christenson’s Title Highlights Area Girls at Bi-State A year ago, at the first ever girls Bi-State wrestling tournament, GMLOS had five placers and Chatfield two. Kingsland to Hold Special Election for Proposed Referendum

Grand Meadow Ends 31-Game Losing Streak Last season, a young Grand Meadow boys team went 0-27.  Adding in a couple losses to end the 2022-2023 campaign, and a couple more to start this season, the Superlarks losing streak sat at 31. #6 Warriors Improved to 6-0 with Three Wins Caledonia’s girls played three games on the week, posting three wins. They scored 206 total points while holding their foes to just 64. Three Ranked  Teams in Play in  Caledonia/R-P Series Caledonia and Rushford-Peterson played their first basketball series of the year. The guys battle pitted #3 Class AA Warriors versus the Class A #9 Trojans. Using their length, Brad King’s group was too much for a young R-P group. Lanesboro’s Elianna Cassman looks to pass the ball as South Winn’s Vanessa Bullerman defends in the teams’ non-conference affair. The Burros posted a 50-28 win to start the year 3-0. They ended their week falling to Southland in a nailbiter 49-48.

Larks Fight Past Neighbors, Knights and Rebels Grand Meadow girls basketball had a two-game week, playing familiar faces (from track and field) in squads from Southland and Kingsland.
