Warrior Girls Top Falcons to Secure TRC-East Title, Boys Teams Tie
Leading the division by one match over Fillmore Central, Caledonia’s girls topped the Falcons 186 to 203 in the regular season finale to shore up the TRC-East golf title, sweeping the season series. Amidst high winds, Warrior Jazzlyn Hauser medaled with a 41. Teammates Hayden Harms (48), Maggie Herman (48), and Ellison Harms (49) also scored for the team. Alexis Sauer and Emersyn Klug added 53s. FC’s scoring foursome was Annika Mensink (47), Lily Miller (49), Myleigh Scheevel (52), and Maddie Topness (55). The Warriors (10-0, 11-0) finish the year undefeated while FC (8-2, 9-2) has only lost to Caledonia. Cal took the first match 178 to 185. The boys teams tied 170 to 170, the Falcons’ second tie this year (R-P). Coby Hammell medaled with a 39 while J.T. Hammell shot a 41 to lead the way for the Warriors. Carson Klug (44) and Spencer Schaffer (46) also scored. Aiden Arnold, Anthony Kiehne, and Brody Srsen all had 42s for FC, with Brock Sikkink adding a 45. FC is 6-2-2 in the TRC and overall, Caledonia 4-5-1, 4-5-1. The match was played at the par-36/38 (girls/boys) MaCalGrove Golf Course.

Albert Lea’s Noah Teeter (73) shot two-over to top Lake City’s Braxton Berlin (74) and Stewartville’s Charlie Waltman (74). Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (83) and Caledonia’s J.T. Hammell (83) tied for 20th (of 76 total golfers). The event was held at the 18-hole par-71 Jewel GC)
(G) Lake City’s The Jewel Tourney (East Ridge (299) topped Owatonna (317) and PIZM (319) with Caledonia (364) taking 10th of 13 at an AA and AAA tourney. East Ridge’s Ella Whinnery (71) shot an even-par to top Owatonna’s Paige Thompson (73) and East Ridge’s Anne Benjamin (74) and Aliyah Kleven (74) atop the leaderboard.
