Caledonia’s Long-Anticipated Warrior Avenue on the Road to Becoming a Reality

City Clerk/Administrator Jake Dickson announced at the Caledonia City Council meeting on February 12 that the city submitted three applications for road funding for Warrior Avenue and the planned roundabout at the intersection of Highway 76 and 44. Camden Hungerholt, a 6’1” junior G from LeRoy-Ostrander, scored his 1,000th career point in a loss to Lanesboro at home on January 25. This was not mentioned in last week’s sports. Hungerholt averages 23.9 PPG for the Cardinals. M-C’s Cayden Tollefsrud scored 24 points in a win over Grand Meadow, surpassing 2,000 for his career. Houston’s boys got 27 points from Morgan Rohweder in beating G-E 67-59, then 36 points from the junior on nine made threes in beating L/P 78-53. Their loss on the week was 65-63 in OT to Kingsland (11-3), where Rohweder had 23 points. Knight Jayden Brink hit seven threes and scored 28 to lead all scorers.
