Spring Grove’s boys b-ball posted a 3-0 week with easy wins over Rochester STEM, GM, and Martin County West. Wade Grinde’s #12 Lions (16-2, 21-3) have surpassed 20 wins. Courtland Drury-DeBoer scored 22 points as Kingsland beat Hayfield. The Knights (14-4, 18-5) have won eight of ten. Mason Howard scored 21 in a Lanesboro win over Alden-Conger. Will Harvey scored 28 but the Burros lost to Randolph. Morgan Rohweder scored 20 as Houston beat Schaeffer for its fourth straight win. Camden Hungerholt scored 23 and 30 respectively in losses to Southland and A-C. Dawson Bunke scored 28 with seven made threes but R-P fell to La Crescent/Hokah. The #18 Trojans are 6-6, 18-7. Lauren Queensland scored 33 including hitting seven threes as GM beat L-O. Jensyn Storhoff scored 31 in a Lanesboro win over Schaeffer. The Larks (12-4, 18-8) are 1A’s 6-seed, will host the 11-seed Burros (8-8, 11-15). Katelyn Hauser scored 20 as Kingsland beat Lanesboro. The Knights (11-5, 15-8) are 1A’s 9-seed, will play at 8-seed Houston (13-3, 16-10). Rushford-Peterson (9-5, 19-7) is the 3-seed, will host 14-seed Schaeffer (9-17). Fillmore Central (7-7, 16-10) is the 5-seed, will host 12-seed K-W (6-20). L-O (3-13, 3-23) is 1A’s 16-seed, will host 17-seed L/P (1-25). Evy Goldsmith went for 27 (pts) and 15 (rebs) as Chatfield beat St. Charles. Goldsmith then had 24 in a loss to Lake City. The Gophers (8-7, 14-12) are 1AA’s 10-seed, will play at 7-seed Z-M (10-16). Wrestling team sections saw 4-seed LARP fall to 5-seed Goodhue, 6-seed GMLOS fall to 3-seed D-E, and 9-seed FCLMC fall to 8-seed St. Charles. In Section 1AA, 7-seed Caledonia/Houston beat 10-seed Waseca but fell to 2-seed Kasson Mantorville. LARP finishes at 19-8, GMLOS at 13-11, Cal/Hou at 18-21, and FCLMC at 4-19.
