Three Rivers Conference Girls Basketball (2/8 & 2/9)

PEM 59, Chatfield 56 (C: E. Goldsmith 22 pts (7-12 FTs), 11 rebs, 4 stls; Taylor Ask 16 pts (5-15 threes), 8 rebs. Ask hit all her threes in the first half. Chatfield led 30-26 at intermission. The Gophers (6-7, 12-11) missed a good look at a game-tying three. Chatfield hit 9 of 33 threes (27%), PEM 4 of 12 (33%). PEM hit 17 of 25 (68%) free throws, Chatfield 11 of 20 (55%))

Fillmore Central 63, #13 in AA Caledonia 53 (FC: Jersey Ristau 13 pts (3-5 threes), 4 stls; K. Broadwater 13 pts, 10 rebs, 5 asts, 3 stls; Alyssa Britton 13 pts (5-7 FGs). C: J. Foster 25 pts (11-15 FTs) 9 rebs Nicole; Banse 12 pts, 8 rebs, 5 asts, 6 stls. Foster had 18 first half points. Cal led 33-29 at intermission. With it tied 49-49, FC finished on a 14-4 run. Caledonia scored just eight points the final nine minutes or so. Ristau hit a couple key first half threes and then the dagger three, which put FC up 58-49 (1:10). FC had 24 bench points. The Warriors were 2 of 18 from deep. Aubrie Klug did not play (illness). Caledonia (11-2, 15-7) was trying to clinch a share of the TRC-East title with a win, but now will have to beat R-P to do so.)

St. Charles 42, Fillmore Central 64 (FC: K. Broadwater 22 pts, 8 rebs, 4 blks; Annika Mensink 10 pts; A. Britton 8 pts, 5 rebs; Cora Britton 8 pts)

Southeast Conference Girls Basketball (2/5 – 2/10)

Kingsland 42, Houston 59 (H: Avery Kingsley 19 pts; Aubry Boldt 15 pts; Emily Botcher 7 pts, 9 rebs, 4 asts; Jorja Meyer 8 pts, 8 rebs. K: Macy Runck 13 pts. Houston jumped out 19-5. It was 26-22 Hurricanes at the half. Houston scored 19 of 24 points mid-second-half to lead 55-35. They avenged a 63-48 loss to the Knights, who had a five-game win streak snapped)

Spring Grove 50, Lyle/Pacelli 39 (SG: Kinley Soiney 17 pts, 7 rebs, 5 stls; Kylie Hammel 11 pts; Emerson Ingvalson 9 pts, 7 rebs, 8 stls. The Lions trailed 24-21 at halftime and later 30-27 before taking the lead for good with a 10-point run. One-win L/P shot a hot 52% but 24 SG steals led to 35 L/P turnovers)

Lyle/Pacelli 57, LeRoy-Ostrander 58 in OT (L-O: Benita Nolt 17 pts, 14 rebs, 5 asts; Kendall Olson 12 pts (four threes); Jenna Olson 12 pts, 5 rebs 5 stls; Maria Almaraz-Nolt 11 pts, 6 rebs, 4 stls. Almaraz-Nolt got a steal in overtime and was fouled, hitting one free throw for the game-winning points. The Cardinals made 11 threes, LP five. L-O ended a five-game losing streak)

Houston 64, Lanesboro 42 (H: J. Meyer 16 pts, 10 rebs, 7 asts; A. Boldt 15 pts, 6 asts; Emily Botcher 14 pts, 5 rebs. L: Jensyn Storhoff 17 pts, 5 rebs, 6 asts, 5 stls; Taylor Hanson 11 pts. Houston (12-2, 15-9) won second half 37-21)

Southland 41, Spring Grove 73 (SG: K. Soiney 18 pts, 12 rebs, 6 asts, 6 stls; Siri Konkel 15 pts, 5 asts, 5 stls; Carlie Halverson 11 pts; Kendal VanMinsel 2 pts, 10 rebs. The Lions shot a good 44% and came away with 21 steals)

LeRoy-Ostrander 22, Southland 67 (L-O: J. Olson 9 pts (three threes). Cardinals > 3-11, 3-20)

Kingsland 58, Lanesboro 46 (K: Katelyn Hauser 18 pts (3-8 threes, 7-9 FTs), 5 rebs, 4 asts, 4 stls; M. Runck 9 pts; Chantle Reiland 8 pts, 10 rebs, 8 asts. L: Jensyn Storhoff 18 pts, 8 rebs; Taylor Hanson 12 pts, 12 rebs. Knights trailed once (1-0). Knights > 10-5, 14-7. Burros > 7-7, 10-14)

Non-Conference Girls Basketball (2/6 – 2/10)

Wabasha-Kellogg 47, LeRoy-Ostrander 44 (L-O: B. Nolt 14 pts, 11 rebs, 4 stls; Miranda Nagel 13 pts, 13 rebs, 3 blks; J. Olson 12 pts (four threes). WK was plus-10 at the free throw line, making 11 of 26 (42%) to L-O’s 1 of 8 (13%))

#2 in AA Minnehaha Academy 73, #13 in AA Caledonia 33 (C: J. Foster 13 pts. MA: Addison Mack 28 pts. The Warriors had a four-game win-streak snapped. Aubrie Klug did not play. The RedHawks have made state 16 times since 2001)

#13 in AA Caledonia 78, Jackson County Central 55 (C: J. Foster 37 pts (seven threes), 8 rebs, 5 asts, 6 stls; A. Klug 17 pts; N. Banse 12 pts; Regan King 9 pts. The Warriors overcame a 38-34 halftime deficit. They hit 11 threes)
