GMLOKS track and field athlete Tate Goergen continued to shine. Already holding his programs 400 and 800-meter records, at the Glen Amundsen Meet in Stewartville, he won both races, breaking meet records that had been held for 30 and 31-years respectively (both previously held by Tiger Jason Owen). Chatfield’s Rylee Urban gets to home plate just ahead of the throw to Dover-Eyota catcher Nora Hansen. It was the game’s first run, as the Gophers built a 5-0 lead. They held on by a 5-4 final, recording the final out via a strike-three fouled-bunt attempt (with an Eagle runner on third). Photo by Paul Trende
