Guys shooting sub-40 rounds on the week in head-to-head team matches were Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (one-under 35, 39) and Carter Ask (38), GMLO’s Lincoln Lunning (38), Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (38, 39), and FC’s Brody Srsen (38, 39). Lunning also shot 43 and 39 to win the Southland Tourney. Shooting 42 each for the girls were Chatfield’s Brynn Tweten, Caledonia’s Maggie Herman, and Jazzlyn Hauser. The Warrior girls are 5-0 in the TRC, 10-0 overall. The Burros boys are 7-0, 7-1 overall. The girls are 6-1. Both Chatfield teams are 5-1. Kingsland’s girls are 5-1. Cayden Lea hit his second homer of the year but R-P baseball fell to D-E 8-5. R-P rebounded by taking two from FC/L, 7-4 and 6-0. Grant DeGeorge hit his second homer in game two. The junior drove in seven runs in three games on the week. FC/L’s Thomas Pikula hit a grand slam home run and drove in six as the Falcons topped BP 9-3. Jensyn Storhoff had an inside-the-park home run and struck out 10 on the mound as FC/L softball beat R-P 9-3 for its first win. The Trojans took game two of the doubleheader 12-1. Braelyn Middendorf hit two home runs with 4 RBI, and Claire Sherburne struck out 10, but SG fell to Southland 9-8. M-C’s Tylar Wenthold struck out 14 in a 9-5 win over GMLOK, 10 in a 5-0 loss to Hayfield. Bulldog Mollie Voigt was 4-for-4 in defeat.
