R-P/H’s Aubry Boldt took first in the 100-hurdles, Triple Jump, and Long Jump at both the PEM and RPH’s home meet. Teammate Jorja Meyer swept the Discus and Shot Put titles at each. Male teammate Chase Drazkowski swept the boys throw titles at the home meet. At the GMLOKS Meet, Kloe Meyer (Shot, Discus) and Maddy Montgomery (Long Jump, Triple Jump) each won two individual events. LFCMC’s Brody Niemeyer had two firsts at the Chatfield Meet (Discus, Shot). At the Hamline Elite Meet, GMLOKS’ Tate Goergen broke his own program record in the 400-meter while taking second in the 800-meters. Guys shooting sub-40 team-versus-team golf rounds on the week were Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (35), Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (37), FC’s Brody Srsen (38 twice), and R-P’s Jaxson Meldahl (39). Harstad also shot 36 and 41 to tie for first at the Dodge Invitational Tourney, 37 and 39 to tie for fifth at the PIZM Tourney. Shooting 42 or lower rounds for the girls were Caledonia’s Hayden Harms (40 and 42), Lanesboro’s Addison McCabe (41 twice), and FC’s Maddie Topness (42). Warrior baseball had an up-and-down week. They first fell to Cotter/HL 9-4 in eight innings. Sean Kirchner struck out 10 and got the win as Chatfield beat Caledonia 6-4. Max Schmitz homered in defeat. Jack Schmitz homered but the Warriors fell to Cotter/HL 8-7 in the Ramblers’ last at bat. Caledonia (4-3 TRC, 7-3 overall) rallied with wins over Lourdes 7-4 and Pine Island 2-1 in a 1AA title game rematch. R-P also got some wins and some losses. Tahven Pepin drove in four runs as the Trojans beat M-C 13-4. R-P (5-4 TRC, 7-7 overall) also swept a doubleheader with L-A 5-4 and 12-9, then fell to Lourdes 6-1 and Pine Island 4-3 (via walk-off error). Grant DeGeorge had a home run versus the Eagles. Coltin Groth drove in four runs but Houston fell to W-K 10-9. Dan Lund had five RBI but GMLOK fell to Medford 19-9. Joey Pederson struck out 10, but FC/L lost to LC/H 4-0. M-C fell to K-W 3-2 in eight innings. Spring Grove softball went 2-1 on the week as 8th grade pitcher Claire Sherburne struck out 38 batters (but walked 22) including pitching a five-inning perfect game in a 13-0 win over L/P and topping FC/L 12-4. Gwen Lieb had four RBI and Jensyn Storhoff struck out 11 in defeat for the Falcons. Braelyn Middendorf homered in the Lions’ loss to 9-1 loss to L-A. Mabel-Canton pitcher Tylar Wenthold, on four occasions, struck out 10 or more in a game on the week, 12 in a 4-3 loss to Lourdes, 21 combined in 13-3 and 11-6 wins over L/P, and 11 in a 4-3 loss to Goodhue. Ella Halverson was 5-for-9 with two doubles, two triples, and 5 RBIs in the doubleheader sweep of the Athletics. Mabel Johnson was 4-for-5 and drove in six runs and Zoey Chase pitched a no hitter, struck out 10 and got the win, as GMLOK topped AC/G-E 16-5. Ally Siskow hit her second home run and drove in four while Chase struck out 11 and got the win, as GMLOK topped Schaeffer 11-1. Rylee Urban struck out 11 and collected the win in game one and Brynn Horsman was 6-for-8 with six runs scored in the series as Chatfield softball (5-2 TRC, 5-5 overall) swept a deuce with PEM 9-0 and 16-1. Shelby Tesch hit her second home run but R-P fell to L-A 4-3 in game one of a doubleheader.
