Houston softball went 3-0, beating GMLOK 4-1, G-E/AC 13-6, and SG 8-1. Emily Botcher collected all three wins, striking out 31. Emmie Melbo had 5 RBIs versus the Wolverines. Warriors Streak to 17, Grab TRC Title Caledonia baseball lost its opener on April 5. Over a month later, they have not lost again. A 3-0 week ran the Warriors streak to 17. Warriors Week Includes Blasting Z-M Caledonia’s softball posted three more wins, beating two perennially strong Class AA schools. Versus Chatfield (10-5), the Warriors (12-2) broke open a 4-2 game with a five-run sixth. Four runs scored with two out. The spurt enabled a 9-2 victory. Golf: Falcons Teams Stay Perfect as Boys Edge Lancers By One Stroke The boys golf matchup of La Crescent/Hokah (6-0, 6-0) and Fillmore Central (5-0, 6-0) was key to the TRC-East race. At the May 2 regular Houston School Board meeting, the board reviewed and voted on the proposed six-year contract with Superintendent Mary Morem. Josh Norlien and Nickki Johnson voted against the contract, while Mimi Carlson, Arlin Peterson, Richard Erdmann and Mark Swenson voted in favor of the contract.
