Have Big Week
Fillmore Central’s golf teams ended the season strongly. FC’s girls first dominated W-K’s Tourney. Aaron Mensink’s group (344) topped Caledonia (384) to claim the team title. PEM (424), W-K (428), Lanesboro (433), and La Crescent/Hokah (451) also had full teams. L-A and R-P were incomplete. FC junior Lily Miller tossed out a leaderboard topping 12-over-par 84 (39/45). Annika Mensink (40/45 > 85), Aubrey Larson (43/43 > 86), and Myleigh Scheevel (45/44 > 89) finished second, third, and tied for fourth. Ella Dahly (8th place, 94) gave FC five in the top 10. Lanesboro seventh grader Addison McCabe (45/44 > 89) tied for fourth. Caledonia’s Hayden Harms (92) took sixth, Maggie Herman (93) seventh, and Jazzlyn Hauser (96) ninth. Thirty-nine girls competed. On the boys’ side, LC/H got revenge for a TRC-East head-to-head loss. The Lancers (317) topped FC (330). Lanesboro (344) took third, R-P (350) fourth. L-A, PEM, W-K, and D-E also competed. Lancer Ryan Nutter (35/35 > 70) shot two-under-par to win over FC’s Brody Srsen (42/36 > 78) and Josh Haugerud (40/39 > 79). Four Lancers made the top 10. Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (39/42 > 81) took fifth, Kaden Stettler (84) tenth. R-P’s top guy was Jaxson Meldahl (85). He tied for 11th with FC’s Brock Sikkink (85) and Burro Dayton Haugen (85). Forty-five boys competed at Wabasha’s 18-hole, par-72 Coffee Mill Course. FC’s teams then beat W-K in Harmony. The girls scored a season-low in a 166 to incomplete win. Scheevel (39) medaled, followed by Mensink (40), Larson (42), Miller (45), Maddie Topness (47), and Dahly (49). Gracelyn Leichtnam (49) led W-K. FC’s boys won 171 to 192. Srsen (39) medaled. Anthony Kiehne (43), Haugerud (44), and Aiden Arnold (45) followed. Luke Hellickson (46) and Sikkink (47) did not score for the team. Hunter Diepenbrock (43) was the only W-K guy in the top seven. FC’s girls then beat LC/H 183 to 235. The senior Larson (42) medaled. Scheevel (44), Mensink (47), and Miller (50) also scored for the team. Dahly (53) and Topness (55) also competed for FC. Gracey Cody (54) led the Lancers. The Falcon boys took down the Lancers for a second time, 168 to 171, in the East’s biggest rivalry. Kiehne (39), Arnold (41), Haugerud (43), and Srsen (45) led FC. LC/H’s top two were medalist Wyatt Ferrell (38) and Ryan Nutter (39). Three Lancers shot 47s. FC’s Sikkink had a 47 also. Both FC teams win the East (8-0) and are each 10-0 on the season.

Lake City’s Noah Wallerich (37/34), Stewartville’s Austin Walker (36/35), Lourdes Colton Rich (35/36), and PIZM’s Josh Scripture (37/34) all tied for first with 71s. Caledonia’s J.T. (G) Lake City “The Jewel” Tourney (East Ridge (307) topped Lake City (315) and Owatonna (335) with Caledonia (384) taking 11th of 12 total Class AA and AAA teams. Lake City’s Jordan Windhorst-Knudsen (34/35 > 69) topped Lakeville South’s Jovie Ordal (36/34 > 70) atop the leaderboard, as they shot two-under and one-under respectively. The Warriors’ top golfer was Jazzlyn Hauser (42/45 > 87) in 24th place. Seventy-two girls competed)
