PEM “Verne Herman” Invite (Waseca’s girls (133.5) barely beat LFCMC’s (132.25) while Chatfield (92) took fifth and Caledonia/Spring Grove 10th (of 10). Chatfield “Ball” Teams Stay Perfect

Each enters May yet to lose.  Softball Goes 3-0,  Downs Cotter  Chatfield’s softball week was highlighted by a big game in Winona versus Cotter. Two did so in home meets.  LFCMC Girls, RPH Boys  Win Tro-Canes Home Meet  On Tuesday, teams, including Journal 11 squads LFCMC and Caledonia/Spring Grove, trekked to Rushford for RPH’s seven-team invite. Tristan Augedahl pitched a 14-strikeout three-hit shutout, as Caledonia baseball beat #8 in AA Plainview-Elgin-Millville 1-0. Ty Sexton pitched a two-hit shut-out as Fillmore Central/Lanesboro beat Caledonia 3-0.
