Aspiring Track Teams Post Sweeps

Track and field conglomerates LFCMC and GMLOKS are both in line to have big years. Fillmore Central Coaches: Aaron Mensink (girls), Brad Holten (boys). Last Year at a Glance: The FC girls notably went 8-2. They boys went 6-5. The girls were TRC Meet champions. Grand Meadow (23-7), Kingsland (19-9), and Lanesboro (19-9) were the top teams in the SEC. The All-SEC girls basketball team is thus headed by players from the Larks, Knights, and Burros. Lions Hold Knights to 27 in Posting “W”

Kingsland (13-seed, 11-15) and Spring Grove (4-seed, 22-4) met twice in the regular season.  It took until the second half in each game for the Lions to pull away. In a 1A quarterfinal versus Fillmore Central, Kingsland’s bench was key to victory.
