In one of the biggest volleyball shockers in the Journal Sports era, Fillmore Central (6-seed, 17-15) clinched a state berth by taking down #2 in A Mabel-Canton (1-seed, 34-3) in four sets for the 1A title. The Falcons celebrate their second ever state trip.

Jonah Bunke ran for 252 yards and 4 TDs as 5-seed Rushford-Peterson football avenged a week eight 14-12 loss to Wabasha-Kellogg by shellacking the 4-seed Falcons 42-6 in the 1A quarters. Larks Top Burros to Make Rochester Playing a competitive 1A Round of 16 volleyball playoff contest were 9-seed Lanesboro (17-13) and 8-seed Grand Meadow (15-13). Spring Grove volleyball swept Lyle/Pacelli to finish off its regular season. Fillmore Central volleyball got 10 kills and 17 digs from Kyla Hellickson in topping Rushford-Peterson 3-0. #2 Cougars Sweep SEC, Top GM in Showcase Match Mabel-Canton ended its regular season by finishing their SEC schedule perfectly, notching their 30th win, then winning another SEC East-West Showcase match.
