Adeline Jean Agrimson, age 88, of Peterson, Minn., passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
She was born February 10, 1936, the daughter of Adolph and Judith (Woxland) Bremmer in Rushford, Minn.
Adeline grew up on her family’s farm near Arendahl, Minn., where her future husband Arne lived just across the valley. Adeline graduated from Peterson High School and went on to attend one year at Winona School of Business. Arne and Adeline were united in marriage at North Prairie Lutheran Church, and together they shared 67 years, four children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many wonderful memories. Adeline was well known as an excellent cook and baker, especially known for her meatballs and mashed potatoes and her Norwegian treats. She loved sharing meals with her family and friends and was always the last one to sit at the table to make sure everyone else was fed. Adeline and Arne were very proud of their faith, their family, their farm, and their Holsteins. When not farming, they loved to travel – whether it was across the county to a 4-H show, to many state and national Holstein conventions, out west skiing with friends, or to Norway to visit relatives. Later in life, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events – never missing a sporting event, dance recital or concert. She could often be found sharing stories, baking, reading, gardening, or polka dancing with Arne.
Adeline is survived by her husband Arne, children Sonja (Mark) Miedtke, Sherrie (Todd Searles) Agrimson, Susan (Rod) Martin, and Stephen (Lanita) Agrimson; grandchildren Kile Stewart (Ruth Lin Nedza), Mariah Martin (Tory Chasteen), Taylor Martin, Anna Martin, Jordan (Brittany) Agrimson, Ashley Agrimson (Adam Lembke); and great-grandchildren Theodore Sebastian Arneson Stewart and Rhett Robert Agrimson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Lyle Bremmer.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Rushford Lutheran Church, with Rev. Sarah Walker Brown officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, from 4-7 pm at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Arendahl Lutheran Cemetery.
