Whalan receives total reimbursement from former city clerk

Fillmore County Journal- Whalan looks at solution to city clerk position

According to Whalan City Clerk/Treasurer Michele Peterson, the City of Whalan has received full reimbursement from former City Clerk Lolly Melander after receiving a check in the amount of $9,388.00. Root River water rescue

According to Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge, Dispatchers received a 911 call on May 11, 2022, at 3:46 p.m. regarding a kayaker stuck on the Root River east of Whalan. An adult female was hanging onto a tree in the Root River after her kayak came in contact with a tree in the water. The Lanesboro Fire Department was able to reach the woman and bring her to shore. Seat opens up on Harmony City Council

May 9, 2022 - Average gasoline prices in Minnesota have risen 12.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.02/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,856 stations in Minnesota. Prices in Minnesota are 18.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.23/g higher than a year ago.
