Fillmore Central and Kingsland hooked up for a boys/girls doubleheader just after Christmas. The event saw both key Section 1A games go down to the wire. The squads with the better records, lost. Grand Meadow’s girls entered the Hayfield holiday tourney as the sole “Journal 11” unbeaten team. Ryan Queensland’s group first took on Kenyon-Wanamingo. The Bi-State holiday wrestling tournament in La Crosse is a large-scale invite that brings in a lot of good teams and a lot of good wrestlers.
