Caledonia boys basketball had a ho-hum week of handily defeating three opponents.  They got some help from a rival and wrapped up the TRC East crown.  Brad King’s guys won league games over Cotter, 91-48, and Fillmore Central, 90-69.  Fifteen Warriors scored versus the Ramblers, as the score was 53-21 at intermission.  Mason King hit five threes and scored a team-high 17 points.  Eli King added 11.  Jackson Koepke and Lewis Doyle chipped in 9.  Versus the Falcons, it was 52-28 at the half.  Fourteen Warriors scored.  E-King (13 pts, 10 rebs, 4 asts), Brett Schultz (13 pts, 6-9 FGs, 5 rebs), Koepke (13 pts, 5 rebs), Chris Pieper (12 pts), and M-King (12 pts, 4-10 threes) gave the Warriors five in double figures.  Sophomore Jayce Kiehne had 33 points (11-20 FGs, 9-10 FTs, 7 rebs, 6 stls) for the Falcons.  Luke Hellickson (13 pts, 3-13 threes) and Bryce Corson (7 pts, 5 ast) helped.  FC fell to 3-10, 7-17.  With R-P beating LC/H the same night, Caledonia won the TRC-East.  The Warriors finished the week by beating Cannon Falls 82-49.  It was their sixth straight win.   Koepke (22 pts) led the way. Ja’Shon Simpson added 10 and Pieper 8.  In the three games, Caledonia averaged almost 88 PPG.  They’ve topped 80, 10 times.  The AA #1-ranked Warriors (11-0, 23-1) lead the Lancers (10-3, 16-6) and Trojans (9-3, 19-4) as the season nears end.
