Warrior B-Ball Teams Continue to Roll

Combined, their win streaks are 18.  Caledonia’s basketball teams kept rolled to a combined 5-0 week.  The girls beat L-A 67-45, Kingsland 64-28, and Cannon Falls 60-47 all on the road.  Versus the Cardinals, Cal led 44-28 at halftime.  They hit nine three-pointers.  Alexis Schroeder (19 pts, five threes) led the way. Josie Foster (14 pts) and Ava Privet (12 pts, three threes) also hit double figures.  Jovial King (9 pts) and Paige Klug (7 pts) helped.  Versus the Knights, the Warriors led 47-15 at the half.  Privet had the first of two big games, scoring 20 points (6-8 threes, 7-11 FGs, 4 asts).  Sadie Treptow (9 pts, 11 rebs), Klug (8 pts, 5 asts), and King (8 pts, 9 rebs) helped.  Ten Cal girls scored.  Kingsland was led by Alexys Harwood (6 pts, 6 rebs) and Anika Reiland (6 pts).  The Knights (5-0, 9-7) lead the SEC-West.  Versus the Bombers, Privet hit six more threes (game-high 24 points).  Klug added 16.  Treptow chipped in 7.  The Warriors trailed CF 21-19 at halftime.  It was Caledonia’s sixth straight section win.  Scott Sorenson’s group (5-2, 11-5) surpassed 10 wins. They’ve won seven in a row and trail Cotter (5-1, 10-3) in the TRC East.  Brad King’s boys ran their undefeated win streak to 11 with victories over W-K 84-41 and Waunakee, Wisconsin 74-52.  The later was part of the Midwest Players Classic in La Crosse.  Versus the Falcons, #3 Cal put up 56 first half points.  Eleven guys scored.  Ten had a least four points led by Jackson Koepke (14 pts, four threes) and Reid Klug (12 pts, four threes).  Eli King (9 pts), Chris Pieper (8 pts), Thane Meiners (7 pts), Ja’Shon Simpson (6 pts), Brett Schultz (6 pts), and Ben Stemper (6 pts) helped.  Cal hit 10 threes.  It was their 10th win.  Versus Waunakee, King (19 pts), Meiners (17 pts), and Koepke (13 pts) did the heavy scoring.  Simpson chipped in 8 points.   The Warrior boys (4-0, 11-0) are basically tied atop the TRC-East with LCH (4-0, 8-0).  R-P (4-1, 8-2) lingers in third.
