Gopher Teams Sweep Week

Chatfield’s teams, all of them, boys basketball, girls basketball, and wrestling, saw only wins the week of January 3. The b-ball squads swept Triton first. At home, Chatfield’s guys out-scored the Cobras 48-38 in the second half, erasing a 30-29 halftime deficit. They prevailed 77-68. Warrior Girls Notch Two Big Section Wins

Section 1AA girls’ basketball is going to be a dogfight. As of January 10, nine teams had at least eight wins. Scott Sorenson’s Caledonia Warriors joined that group by authoring a week where they beat two eight-win 1AA foes. All told, they went 3-0 to move their win streak to four.
