Loren William Smith, 78, of Spring Valley, Minn., passed away on January 13, 2022. Loren was born on July 17, 1943, in Chatfield, Minn., to Harold and Iva (Finley) Smith. Section 1AA girls’ basketball is going to be a dogfight. As of January 10, nine teams had at least eight wins.
