Fillmore County Journal - Joseph "Joe" Lawstuen Obituary

Joseph “Joe” C. Lawstuen, 65, of Wykoff, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at his home.

Joseph Clifford Lawstuen was born on August 26, 1954, in Lanesboro, Minn., to Donald and Eleanor (Hennessy) Lawstuen.  He graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1972.  He loved farming and helping other dairy farmers milk their cows.  The last few years he worked for Horstman Fencing around the area.  Joe love to travel, especially to Ireland, and he loved his cat.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Eleanor, brother Jim, and sister Pat.

Survivors include his life partner Donna Jansky, daughter Andria Fong, four grandsons, five brothers: Rodney (Alice), Robert (Cindy), John (Karen), Pete, and Paul; sister Catherine (William) Allen, and many nieces and nephews.

A private family committal service will take place at Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, Minn., at a later date.

A Celebration of Life for Joseph will be held when we are all able to get together and embrace the memories of a very beautiful and loved soul.  Date, place, and time will be posted.

Thank you all for your love and support, crying time is over, time for good memories, laughter, and love for each other.  Always remember what is important, family above all!

    Deepest Sympathy to you all. Joe was always so nice to me when we came and visited the farm when I was young. Brought back lots of good memories. Loving peace!
