Wrestling Section 1A team tourneys took place.  FCMLC (10-seed) lost to D-E (7-seed) 64-9.  The Wolves’ season concludes at 2-16.  LARP (6-seed) beat Triton (11-seed) 57-24.  The Screaming Eagles then fell to Chatfield (3-seed) 54-22 in the quarters.  LARP finishes at 10-11.  Chatfield fell to Goodhue (2-seed) 46-22 in the semis.  The match was tied 22.  The Wildcats took the final four weights by fall.  Chatfield’s season concludes at 12-3.  Macy Pederson scored a career-high 26 points in her last home game to lead Chatfield’s girls to their best win over St. Charles 51-42.  The Gophers (15-seed, 7-11, 8-17) play at Rochester-Lourdes (2-seed, 18-8) in the 1AA round of 16.  Lauren Buchholtz had three double-doubles, and hit the game-winning free throw in overtime to send Kingsland to a 66-65 win over W-K.  The Knights (8-seed, 9-9, 13-13) host Schaeffer Academy (9-seed, 16-10) in the new, no sub-sections 1A tourney.  Lexie Johnson tied a career high and had a double-double (21 pts, 13 rebs) to lead Lanesboro past L-O 64-53.  The Burros (16-seed, 2-11, 4-19) will host Faribault B.A. (17-seed, 2-23), winner playing #1 L/P (1-seed, 25-1).  FC (13-seed, 7-10, 10-16) will host L-O (20-seed, 1-25), winner playing #10 GM (4-seed, 21-5).  M-C (14-seed, 6-7, 8-17) will host G-E (19-seed, 4-20), winner playing #4 Goodhue (3-seed, 19-7).  R-P (15-seed, 0-17, 5-21) will host Hope Lutheran (18-seed, 12-6), winner playing #3 Hayfield (2-seed, 22-4).  FC’s boys beat Lanesboro 59-46 behind Luke Ristau’s 19 points.  Carson Schwichtenberg had 22 in defeat.  James Hongerholt had 25 to lead Houston past Lanesboro 67-49.  Andrew Luck had a career-high 21 in defeat.   Zach Bubany returned to score 22, but Kingsland fell in OT to W-K 73-71.  Ben Ansell had a career-high 22, but R-P fell on a shot with 2.6 left versus La Crescent.  Mabel-Canton’s Drew Wyffels averaged 15.3 points and 8.3 assists over three Cougar games.
