Spring Grove baseball (2-0, 2-0) rallied from 5-0 and 6-3 deficits to thwart pre-season #9-ranked Lyle/Pacelli by a 7-6 score. SG trailed 6-3 in the bottom of the sixth, but scored four runs all without a hit. A wild pitch tied the game and an RBI ground-out by Elijah Solum proved the game-winning-RBI. Caleb Griffin struck out 10 in four innings though Ben Udstuen collected the win for the Lions. L/P had just one hit in the game, a 3-run-home run. Thane Meiners struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings whilst collecting the win as Caledonia baseball beat R-P 12-3. Houston baseball beat Schaeffer Academy 15-1, as three Hurricane pitchers combined for a no-hitter. The ‘Canes ended a 35-game losing streak that dates back to April 26, 2019 (including the wiped out 2020 season). Delaney Vaughn had four RBI as R-P softball beat FC/L 7-1. Nicole Beckman had four RBI as Houston beat Schaeffer Academy 19-2. Houston had a 13-run second inning in the game. R-P’s Andrew Hoiness shot a 39 to lead the Trojans past Caledonia in boys golf.
