Wrestling: Gophers Threepeat as 1A Champions Wrestling can sometimes be unique. A competitor can lose and it still helps a team win. Preventing (big) bonus points can prove major dividends to the team game. Chatfield freshman Brenden Kobs found himself in that position in the Gophers’ 1A team final with Goodhue (2-seed, 20-7). Reflections on RP’s Recent Referendum Vote

The Rushford-Peterson School Board officially canvassed the votes from the recent building referendum vote at their regular board meeting on February 17. The vote was 444 (37.34%) in favor and 744 (62.66%) against. 48% of the voters voted in the election compared to the typical low turnout of 15% and typical high of 25%. Caledonia’s girls topped TRC foes Rushford-Peterson 76-53 and La Crescent/Hokah 81-47 on the week while losing to #2 in AAA Stewartville 66-57. The win over the Trojans clinched the Warriors (13-0, 18-6) the outright TRC-East title over Cotter/HL (11-3, 14-9), R-P (6-5, 14-8), FC (6-6, 13-9), and LC/H (2-11, 8-16).
