Non-Conference Girls Basketball (2/16) 

Grand Meadow 62, United South Central 71 (GM: N. Warmka 20 pts (9-17 FGs), 6 rebs, 4 asts; G. Foster 17 pts, 6 rebs; Mollie Voigt 11 pts (3-5 threes).  USC led 40-26 at the half with GM getting as close as 67-61 late.) 

Girls Basketball – 1A and 1AA Round of 16 Playoffs (2/19) 

(1AA) 13-seed La Crescent (9-17) 42, 4-seed Caledonia (20-8) 88 (C: A. Klug 31 pts (three threes); Nicole Banse 16 pts (three threes); Ashlyn Reinhart 12 pts; Jessica Stendel 8 pts; Maya Morey 8 pts.  Klug scored her 2,000th career point.)  

(1AA) 9-seed Rushford-Peterson (17-8) 51, 8-seed Dover-Eyota (16-10) 38 (R-P: Torryn Schneider 16 pts, 9 rebs, 5 asts; Alannah Skalet 11 pts (3-5 threes); Nadia Happel 10 pts, 4 asts; Kaia Loney 9 pts, 12 rebs.  RP went on the road for the 8/9 game despite winning the regular season match-up with the Eagles 64-51.  Threes: R-P 6 of 19 (32%), D-E 2 of 21 (10%).)  

(1AA) 14-seed Chatfield (8-18) 38, 3-seed Goodhue (18-8) 81 (C: Grace Schroeder 13 pts (3-11 threes); Lexi Kivimagi 12 pts.  Chatfield finishes at 8-19) 

(1A) 11-seed Grand Meadow (3-23) 44, 5-seed Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton (15-8) 65 (SG/M-C: S. Konkel 20 pts; K. Soiney 19 pts, 4 asts; Kylie Hammel 8 pts, 12 rebs, 3 asts, 3 stls, 3 blks.  GM: G. Foster 25 pts, 4 rebs; N. Warmka 9 pts, 5 asts; Mollie Voigt 8 pts.  The Superlarks, down by five at halftime, trailed by only six in the second half before the Lions launched a 16-point run.  SG/M-C shot 44% to GM’s 27%.  Soiney scored her 2,000th career point.  GM finishes at 3-24) 

(1A) 11-seed Kingsland (5-19) 37, 6-seed Fillmore Central (13-12) 79 (FC: H. Vaalemoen 28 pts (4-9 threes), 5 rebs, 5 asts, 8 stls; Kyla Hellickson 17 pts (8-12 FGs), 6 rebs, 5 asts; Madi Zwart 10 pts, 7 rebs; Ava Larson 10 pts, 9 rebs; Aubrey Daniels 8 pts, 4 asts.  K: Macy Runck 13 pts; Hailee Warren 11 pts.  FC ended a six-game losing streak.  Kingsland finishes at 5-20) 

(1A) 10-seed Alden-Conger/G-E (12-12) 47, 7-seed Lanesboro (16-10) 74 (L: J. Storhoff 21 pts, 6 rebs, 8 asts; Jentrey Schreiber 13 pts (3-7 threes); Elianna Cassmann 12 pts (4-6 threes), 4 asts; Hailey Erickson 10 pts; Cora Mayer 10 pts (4-4 FGs).  Lanesboro won the second half 43-22, tied a season-high point total, beat the Knights again after doing so 54-53 previously.)

(1A) 9-seed Faribault B.A. (8-16) 56, 8-seed Houston (10-15) 61 (H: A. Boldt 23 pts, 5 stls; Avery Kingsley 11 pts, 5 asts; Jorja Meyer 11 pts (5-7 FTs), 8 rebs; Rylee Boldt 8 pts (4-5 FTs), 8 rebs.  Houston hit 13 of 19 FTs (68%), BA 6 of 14 (43%).) 

(1A) 14-seed LeRoy-Ostrander (2-23) 26, 3-seed Southland (21-4) 64 (L-O: Mabel Johnson 8 pts; Maria Almaraz-Nolt 6 pts, 8 rebs.  Cardinals finish at 2-24)
