LARP wrestling topped Dover-Eyota 38-27 in the 1A quarters to clinch its first trip to Rochester and the team semifinals in the Journal Sports era (since 2011). Section 1A Meet (Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston placed sixth among seven teams. Sophomore Vivian Kittleson had the highest finish at 10th among 35 athletes on the uneven parallel bars and the team’s best score of 8.7500 while placing 17th in floor exercise. As the Houston School Board considered the proposed calendar for next school year at their regular meeting February 6, the often mundane item led to good discussion.
