Three Rivers Conference

Grand Meadow’s Roman Warmka goes reverse as Spring Grove’s Carson Gerard tries to get the block amidst the teams’ competitive cross-divisional SEC contest. SG got a turnover late, and Elijah Solum made two free throws, as the Lions prevailed 44-40. SEC-East leading Spring Grove (9-2) has won five straight.

Fillmore Central 68, Plainview-Elgin-Millville 77 (FC: Gunner Benson 16 pts (4-6 threes); Jayce Kiehne 14 pts (3-4 threes), 6 rebs; Luke Hellickson 14 pts (4-8 threes), 7 rebs, 4 asts; Bryce Corson 9 pts, 11 asts; Jake Fishbaugher 7 pts, 6 rebs.  PEM: Aeron Stevens 21 pts.  PEM started up 17-0 and led 33-17 at half.  FC hit 13 of 27 threes (48%), as Hellickson, Benson, and Kiehne combined for 11.  They hit 11 of 13 threes after intermission, scoring 51 second half points.  FC > 0-6, 2-8)

Southeast Conference

Grand Meadow 40, Spring Grove 44 (SG: T. Grinde 20 pts (3-6 threes), 5 rebs, 4 stls; Elijah Solum 16 pts.  GM: Roman Warmka 12 pts, 5 rebs; Jace Kraft 10 pts; Taylor Glynn 7 pts, 7 rebs, 5 asts; Jacob Kerrins 7 pts.  GM led 22-16 at intermission, but SG applied more pressure to start second half.  They went on a 10-2 run to lead 26-24.  SG led 42-36 with under 5:00 left, but GM scored the next four points to pull to down 44-42.  The Lions went empty on four straight trips.  The Larks had the ball with 0:46 left trailing by two, but Solum stole a high-post entry.  He was then fouled and hit two free throws with 17.2 seconds left to ice the game.  The contest had nine lead changes.  TOs: GM 16, SG 7.  FTs: GM 4-6, SG 6-6.  The teams combined to go 6 of 27 from deep (22%).  GM shot 50% from the field (17 of 34), but SG shot more going 17 of 45 (38%).  GM > 2-4, 5-7)

LeRoy-Ostrander 59, Schaeffer Academy 41 (L-O: Tanner Olson 18 pts, 6 rebs, 3 asts, 3 stls; Chase Johnson 12 pts (6-11 FGs), 3 asts, 3 stls; Gavin Sweeney 12 pts (5-8 FGs), 7 rebs; Levi Royston 9 pts, 7 rebs, 5 asts.  Cardinals won second half 30-15)

Lyle/Pacelli 75, Mabel-Canton 36 (M-C: Jaymeson Tollefsrud 12 pts (4-6 threes); Alex Arneson 10 pts, 5 rebs.  Athletics (6-0, 9-2) lead the SEC West)

Lanesboro 89, Glenville-Emmons 46 (L: S. Schultz 23 pts (9-12 FGs, 5-5 FTs); Mason Howard 12 pts (4-6 threes); J. Prestemon 11 pts, 11 rebs, 10 asts, 5 stls; Brady Danielson 11 pts, 4 rebs, 3 asts; Adam Ruen 11 pts (4-5 FGs, 2-2 FTs); Hayden Lawstuen 7 pts, 6 rebs.  Burros put up 56 first half points.  Lanesboro > 2-4, 4-5)

Kingsland 56, Southland 79 (K: Nick Eickhoff 12 pts; Mason Kolling 8 pts, 8 rebs; Bret Musel 8 pts; Walker Erdman 8 pts, 8 rebs; Kale Mensink 7 pts, 5 rebs.  Kingsland trailed 43-19 at halftime.  They were 5 of 25 (20%) from distance.  Rebels are 6-2)

Non-Conference

Kingsland 35, Spring Grove 50 (SG: E. Solum 16 pts, 7 rebs, 4 asts; Jaxon Strinmoen 8 pts, 8 rebs, 3 blks; T. Grinde 8 pts, 5 rebs, 6 asts; Carson Gerard 8 pts, 9 rebs, 3 stls, 3 blks; Jacob Olerud 6 pts.  K: Jayden Brink 12 pts; N. Eickhoff 6 pts; Walker Erdman 5 pts, 9 rebs.  The Lions led 31-30 with eight minutes left, but they then shut out the Knights until the final half-minute. Meanwhile, SG scored on 11 of 12 possessions for 19 unanswered points. With seven treys, most Kingsland points came from distance, while the Lions outscored the Knights 32-12 in the paint. FTs: K 0-3, SG 11-20.  TOs: K 17, SG 7.  Knights > 3-3, 4-6)

Postville 43, Mabel-Canton 70 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 30 pts (12-20 FGS, 6-12 threes), 7 rebs; J. Tollefsrud 17 pts (3-5 threes); 5 rebs Jordan Larson 8 pts, 6 asts; A. Arneson 6 pts, 9 rebs.  The Tollefsrud brothers hit nine threes.  Cougars > 2-4, 5-6) 

Houston 42, Glenwood City 55 (H: T. Kubitz 14 pts, 13 rebs; Morgan Rohweder 9 pts (3-6 threes).  Hurricanes > 0-5, 0-11)
