Tyler Kreidermacher (113), Colten Jenkins (120), Jordan Zibrowski (132), Quintin Betthauser (132), Brock Frisch (220), and Andrew Wilkemeyer (285) added pins); 5-seed LARP (15-11) 23, 4-seed Lake City (17-7) 45 (LARP won 106 (S. Nelson 11-1 major decision), 113 (T. Kreidermacher 5-1 decision), and 132 (Q. Betthauser 9-1 major decision) – three of the first five matches – to lead 11-9 after 132. Lake City then took five straight from 138 through 170 to lead 33-11. S-Eagles fell twice in that span by decision (10-8 in SV-1 at 145 and 6-4 at 170). Only five matches were actually wrestled – all won by Wolves – and only one ended in pin. Wyatt Jensen (170) had the pin. Connor Wingert (145) won a 9-0 major decision. Kane Larson (120 > 9-6), Carter Hovland (138 > 7-2), and Cole Sass (152 > 11-4) won by decision Larson was recently ranked #10 at 106); 8-seed FCLMC (11-10) 13, 1-seed Chatfield (13-1) 63 (Chatfield took 106 (#2 J. Berg), 120 (#6 at 113 G. Bartels), 126 (Ben Carrier), 132 (Carson Rowland), 152 (Jackson Schild), 182 (#2 Grady Schott), and 285 (Caden Nolte) by forfeit. Ryan House (113) and Ethan Ruskell (220) had pins for Gophers. Kail Schott (#6 at 170) won by injury default. Luke Carrier (145) won a 4-2 decision over C. Wingert. For FCLMC, O. (1A) 5-seed Caledonia/Houston (16-7) 38, 4-seed Kenyon-Wanamingo (22-8) 27 (Hard fought dual saw Cal/Hou win seven of the first eight weights – four by decision – to lead 28-6 after 152. Knights won three of four from 160 through 195 to close to down 32-21, but #9 at 195 Ayden Goetzinger’s pin (220) clinched the dual for the Warriors. I. Blocker (#3 at 138) had Cal/Hou’s only other pin. Tuck. Ginther (145) won by injury default. Braxton Lange (106) and Aden Kulas (170) won 11-0 and 10-2 major decisions. Tanner Ginther (113 > 2-0), Simon Seymour (120 > 10-3), O. Denstad (132 > 3-1), and C. Scanlan (152 > 9-6) won by decision. Warriors won nine of 14 weights, but got out-pinned four to two. K-W won a dual late in the season 33-30, as the team’s split matches won 7-7. In that dual, Cal/Hou won five of the first eight weights and led 21-15 after 152. Girls Section 1-4 Individual Tourney (GMLOS had six girls compete, LARP one. Three Bulldogs finished top four. Diann Smith (10-2) took second at 138 to Eastview’s Riley Meyers, losing by 8-0 major decision in the finals. Smith won two falls to make the championship bout. Smith qualified for state. Megan Geier (145) took third going 2-1. She lost in the semis by fall, then won by fall and disqualification (no true second match). Emma Hemann (114) went 2-2 to take fourth)
