Victor Horsman

October 2, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Victor Horsman obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Victor Lane Horsman, 56, of Luverne, Minn., passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 11, 1968, in Spring Valley, Minn.  Victor was the beloved son of Bonnie Horsman and Clifford Reed.

A celebration of Victor’s life will be held on October 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Masonic Park in Spring Valley, Minn. In honor of his memory, friends and family are invited to join us in remembrance.

Victor graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1986 before continuing his education at Austin Vo-Tech. He worked for many years at Marigold Foods in Rochester, Minn., and most recently for Daikin in Faribault, Minn. On June 23, 2023, Victor was united in marriage to Cindy Eberhardt in a beautiful ceremony at Masonic Park in Spring Valley.

Victor was a kind-hearted man who loved spending time with his family and friends, especially around a campfire. His passion for camping and sharing long conversations with loved ones was well known. He was also a devoted animal lover, and deeply missed his dog Dakota.

Victor will be remembered for his kindness and generosity by all who know him. He was always willing to lend a helpful hand to those in need.

Victor is survived by his loving wife Cindy of Luverne, Minn.; his “Boy” Christian Brown; stepchildren Bailey Breazile and Nicholas Breazile, stepfather Jerry (Roxanne) Kiehne, stepmother Maggie Reed, step-siblings Christopher Reed, Shawn Reed, Shannon Reed and Courtney Reed; aunts Elaine Horsman, Marsha Thorson and Debra Carr; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bonnie Kiehne and Clifford Reed, sister Vicki Deyo, grandparents Elwin Horsman, Catherine Bundy, and Clifford and Fern Reed; and uncle David Horsman.

Victor’s generous spirit, love for nature, and devotion to his family and friends will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace.
