December 18, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Vaughn Bearson Nagle

Vaughn Bearson Nagle, age 88, of Preston, formerly of Lanesboro, passed away peacefully at the Chosen Valley Care Center on December 17, 2024.

Vaughn was the daughter of Leonard and Josephine Landsverk. She was born April 9, 1936 in Tuttle, N. Dak. She graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1954. On June 4, 1955, she married Dale Bearson of Lanesboro. Dale passed away on May 28, 2005. She later married Fred Nagle on August 24, 2013.  Vaughn worked for 35-plus years as a secretary with the Minnesota State Fisheries and DNR offices in Lanesboro.

Vaughn enjoyed life, especially dancing, singing karaoke, specifically “I Fall To Pieces” by Patsy Cline. She loved pulling tabs and happy hour at the Legion and meat raffles on Friday nights. She loved spending winters in Harlingen, Tex.

Vaughn and Dale Bearson had four children: Scott (Dawn) Bearson of Lanesboro, Carrie (Jeff) Hanson of Lanesboro, Lori Anderson of Lanesboro and Brad (Laura) Bearson of Fairmont; and former son-in-law, Tim Anderson of Lanesboro. More blessings arrived with 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

With her husband Fred, of Preston, Vaughn has one stepdaughter, Sheila Nagle of Preston and step-grandson Dylan Nagle of Winona.

She is further survived by her brothers Larry (Diana) Landsverk, DuWayne Landsverk and Greg (Alicia) Landsverk, all of Kansas; sisters Joan (Jim) Johnson, Doreen Semmen, Jackie Rehm and Laurel Krage (Bob); and sister-in-law Dar Whitman.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale; her mother and father, her in-laws Ben and Lucille Bearson, brother Dale Landsverk and one grandson, Jacob Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran in Lanesboro on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 2 p.m.  Visitation will be held at the church from 12 p.m. until time of services.

Vaughn’s family invites friends and family to the Lanesboro American Legion for a lunch and cocktail in her memory. A special thank you to Chosen Valley Care Center of Chatfield for the wonderful care given to Vaughn and her family. She will be missed dearly.

Hoff Funeral Home of Lanesboro is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be left for the family at www.hofffuneral.com.
