Teri Marie Ibach

April 28, 2025 by Fillmore County Journal 1 Comment

Teri Ibach obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Teri Marie Ibach, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her home in Kasson, Minn. Born February 1, 1974, to Richard Hanson and Pamela Otterbein, she grew up in Whalan, Minn., and graduated from Lanesboro Public Schools in 1992.

Teri raised four beautiful daughters: Sophie, Josie, and Ellie with former spouse Mark Ibach, and Nessie with former partner Jim Pierce. Her girls were the very center of everything and her greatest happiness.

Particularly gifted in working with vulnerable adults, Teri worked for several years at Fillmore Place in Preston, Minn. More recently she brought her passion to Cascade Memory Care and Rehoboth Disabled and Elderly Care. She loved her work, and she loved the residents even more.

Teri was a deeply loving daughter, sister and aunt. She was an enthusiastic fan of Bon Jovi, mac and cheese with ketchup, and harmless pranks. She never said no to a board game and had recently rekindled an interest in drawing. She was a joyful soul with an infectious smile and a fiercely loyal heart, and the world is duller without her.

Teri is survived by her four daughters: Sophia Ibach (Jesse Bruggenthies) of Rochester, Jossallen Ibach of Rochester, Eleena Ibach of Kasson, and Tanessa Pierce of Kasson; parents Richard Hanson (Bonny Engen) of Whalan, and Pamela (Wayne) Otterbein of Kasson; sisters Tami Hanson (Chris Wanous) of Kasson and Traci (Andrew) Post of Rio Rancho, N. Mex.; nephew Tyler Wanous of Kasson, niece Caitlynn Wanous of Kasson, stepsiblings, many aunts, uncles and cousins; the “hens,” and beloved dog Daphne.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, two uncles, and a stepsister.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St. SE in Kasson, Minn., with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to her service at the funeral home.
