Florence Eleanor Edwardson, 92, died peacefully at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford on April 7, 2019. Florence was born January 30, 1927, to Peter and Isabel (Odland) Edwardson. Whalan City Council adopts resolution concerning past due accounts
On the agenda for the April Whalan City Council meeting was the adoption of a resolution addressing the issue of disconnection for non-payment of electric bills. Whalan receives donation from Stand Still Parade
During the July Whalan City Council meeting, Jane Lewis, representing the Whalan Stand Still Parade Committee, announced a donation to the City of Whalan in the amount of $1,763. Each year the Stand Still Parade Committee donates a portion of the proceeds from the Stand Still Parade to the city. The council members shared their appreciation to the committee. Halvorson sworn in to Whalan City Council
The Whalan City Council met on May 14, 2018, and spent much of the meeting discussing city projects, including work to be done on streets and alleys.
