It was an inauspicious start to the season for Houston girls basketball. Two long road trips and a night-game, day-game, back-to-back, equaled and 0-3 start for last year’s SEC East champs. The first week of October featured multiple volleyball games between FCJ covered teams. R-P beat Chatfield 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-16, 31-29). A year ago, Alex Folz propelled Spring Grove to a 26-6 win over Houston in a match-up of undefeated ranked teams.
