Cross Country (10/6 & 10/8) St. Charles Invite (La Crescent/Hokah’s boys (27) beat St. Charles (37) and LFC (59). Saint Andrew O’Hara (17:57) took first with Burro Carson Ruen (18:29) taking second. O’Hare Nearly Breaks 17:00 in Win

In their first cross country event of the year, Chatfield went to Lake City and ran a triangular with the Tigers and Dover-Eyota. On the girls side, the Tigers were the defending Section 1A Champs. Knight Runner Stands Out at LFC’s Meet
A year ago at the Section 1A Meet, Kingsland freshman Garrison Hubka was his team’s top runner. He finished 78th in a time of 19:19.1. Triton Meldahl (26-261, 2 TDs) authored his fourth 200-yard rushing game, as R-P beat W-K 39-8 in a 1A quarterfinal. The Trojans then spotted Goodhue a 21-0 lead and fell 34-18 in the semis. A year ago, LARP’s Luke O’Hare had a break-out season. He won about every regular season cross country race he entered, including the TRC Meet. This year has been a redo.
