Sherry S. Pfremmer

January 24, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Sherry Pfremmer obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Sherry S. Pfremmer, 76, of Spring Valley, Minn., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at her home.

Sherry Sarah Schumacher was born September 20, 1947, in Austin, Minn., to Maynard and Carol (Mathison) Schumacher. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Pfremmer. She loved being at the farm and living in the country. Sherry owned many, many books and was an avid reader. Seeing her grandchildren and going on trips to visit family was something Sherry would always look forward to. She spent a lot of her time writing letters and talking to her good friend Janice.

Sherry is survived by her children Larry Pfremmer of Miami, Okla., Michelle (Jason) Swenningson of Rochester, Minn., and Maynard “Bud” Lawrence of Oakdale, Minn.; four grandchildren, brothers Kirk Schumacher of Rochester, Minn., and James (Beverly) Schumacher of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert “Bob” Pfremmer and stepson Richard.

A memorial service for Sherry will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at First English Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Minn., with Pastor Loel Wessel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. that afternoon at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minn.
