Tristan Augedahl pitched a 14-strikeout three-hit shutout, as Caledonia baseball beat #8 in AA Plainview-Elgin-Millville 1-0. Ty Sexton pitched a two-hit shut-out as Fillmore Central/Lanesboro beat Caledonia 3-0. Chatfield baseball had a quite a bit of turnover from last year’s squad to this season, but the new influx of talent, many key players off the state title football team, has the Gophers off to a great start to the campaign. Phyllis Ann Toloken, of Rochester, Minn., passed away on April 23, 2022. Phyllis was born on May 24, 1929, to Maxine (Smaby) and James Drury. She was married to Tilford H. Gopher Softball Holds Off, Downs St. Charles

For the later part of the 2010 decade, Chatfield softball dominated the TRC-West. The first full season in a new decade (exempting the 2020 COVID-campaign) saw St. Charles take control of the West and ride a great season all the way to the 2021 1AA section title and a state runner-up finish.
