Head Coach: Holly Ekern

Where We Left Off in 2023: The Trojans went 2-13 in the TRC and 5-16 overall, losing to Goodhue 2-1 in the first round of the 1A East playoffs.

Seniors: Ellie Ekern (IF/C), Ava Drazkowski (P/OF), Cassandra Boyum (CF), Rebecca Magin (IF).

Juniors: Lindsey Hoiness (P/IF), Delaney Vaughn (C/IF).

Key Returning Underclassmen: Torryn Schneider (So. C/IF), Shelby Tesch (So. P/OF).

Outlook: The Trojans did not have an All-TRC pick last season. They return pretty much their entire team though. Cassandra Boyum (.516 average, 11 RBI, 17 R), Lindsey Hoiness (.345 average, 14 RBI, 12 R), and Ellie Ekern (.298 average, five 2B, three 3B, 10 RBI, 19 R), Rebecca Magin (.267 average, 12 R), and Torryn Schneider (.259 average, seven 2Bs, 11 RBI, 21 R) are the five top returning hitters. Delaney Vaughn, Shelby Tesch, and Ava Drazkowski were also regulars. Boyum, Vaughn, Magin, Hoiness, and Ekern have been regulars the past two years. The Trojans also return all their pitching from last year, as Hoiness, Drazkowski, and Tesch each tossed 15 innings or more. But Trojan pitching gave up 168 hits and 124 walks for 185 runs in 116 2/3 innings pitched. Like most softball teams that struggle for wins, R-P thus gave up a lot of runs; seven or more 16 times (3-13) in 21 games.
