Rodney Lawstuen obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Rodney Francis Lawstuen, 80, of Modena, Wis., died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He was born December 31, 1943, in Lanesboro, Minn.; son of Donald and Eleanor (Hennessy) Lawstuen.

He graduated from Lanesboro High School. Following high school Rod attended the University of Minnesota for accounting.

From his first marriage he had three children: Richard, Jeanne and Christine. On June 23, 1989, he married Alice Pixley in Barron County.

Rod worked as a dairy farmer all of his life. He loved farming, fishing, golfing, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He was proud of being a member of AA.

He is survived by his wife Alice of Modena, son Richard of Modena, daughters Jeanne (Kevin) Hull of Heyworth, Ill., and Christine (Bruce) Veldman of Prior Lake, Minn.; stepson Brad (Glynis) Jensen, step-daughter Lisa (Chris) Krohn, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Robert (Cindy), John (Karen), Pete, and Paul (Mary Horwath); sister Catherine (William) Allen, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Eleanor, brothers Jim and Joe, and sister Pat.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Modena Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Modena Cemetery.

    I am so sorry to hear about Rodney..I wish we could of had another reunion.So sorry Kathy for your loss .please tell the rest of your family be praying for him.
