Priscilla Graff obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Priscilla M. Graff, 94, of Spring Valley, Minn., died on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Spring Valley Living.

Priscilla May Stone, daughter of Guy LeRoy and Pearl Stone was born May 22, 1926, at her grandparents, R. J. Williams, farm in Linn Grove, Iowa. She graduated from Linn Grove High School on May 10, 1944, and on May 24, 1944, she married Aloysius Joseph Graff at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. They farmed in the Linn Grove and Royal area and in 1954 moved to their present farm six miles north of Spring Valley, Minn.

They were the parents of three children: Dennis Joseph (Char) Graff of Racine, Minn., David Jerome (Melinda) Graff of Rochester, and Diane Joy (Galen) Schultz of Perham, Minn. She had three grandchildren: Paul (Sue) Graff of Spring Valley, Minn., Christopher (Kristi) Schultz of  Esko, Minn., and Tracy (Jeff) Brown of New York Mills and six great-grandchildren: Morgan, Austin, and Alison Graff, Katie and Ashley Schultz, and Avalee and Bryce Brown.

Priscilla enjoyed baking, reading, sewing, and playing cards. She was a Sumner Center news correspondent for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and their Altar Society. She also belonged to Science Hill Birthday Club, the Friendly Neighbor Club, Hamilton Birthday Club, Magazine Club and Bundles of Love.

Preceding Priscilla in death were her parents, her husband Aloysius Joseph Graff, son David Graff, and sister Dorothy Carlson.

Funeral Mass for family and close friends will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday January 05, 2021, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley, with Father Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

    Priscilla and I had lovely chats at coffeehouse and pancake breakfasts. She loved her kids. Great stories! My sympathies to the family.
