Pine Island Tourney (Grand Meadow beat Wabasha-Kellogg (23-25, 25-16, 15-9) and Lyle/Pacelli (25-14, 25-12) while losing to Lake City (26-28, 25-17, 13-15) and PEM (22-25, 26-28). Lark tourney leaders: L. Queensland (24 kills, 34 digs, 38-38 serving) Lexy Foster (15 kills, 7 aces), Haylie Paul (15 kills), R. Schaufler (38 assists, 18 digs), C. Bakken (33 digs), G. Foster (26 digs), Halle Hendrickson (23 assists). Larks are 0-1, 2-3)

Fillmore Central senior Kammry Broadwater skies for the attack in the Falcons’ season-opening contest at Hayfield. FC, ranked #7 in Class A, started the year with a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-12, 25-14) of the Vikings. The 5’10” outside hitter Broadwater had 19 kills to lead the way.
