Myra L. Skare, 74, of Winona, Minn., formerly of Spring Valley, Minn., died on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Mayo Clinic- Methodist Campus in Rochester, Minn.
Myra Lee Boland was born January 15, 1947, to Donald and Grace (Schonsby) Boland. She married Gerald Skare and the two later divorced. Myra worked at Mayo Clinic working in data entry and billing, and she also worked part-time at JCPenney and Winona Healthcare.
Myra enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and would make blankets for all of her loved ones. She also enjoyed baking and mini marathons. She especially loved dancing and found the perfect dance partner in the arms of Ron Schroeder. Myra was a very hardworking woman who always put everyone else before herself. She will be dearly missed.
Myra is survived by her significant other Ronald Schroeder; children Bruce Skare of Stewartville, Minn., Alan (Heather) Skare of Menahga, Minn., and Angie (Nick Schley) Grabau of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren George, Jessica, Kenny, Ted, Sammy, Keelin, Colton, Alan Jr., Johnny, Joshua, Katrina, and Jayden; one great-granddaughter Layne, brothers Butch (Carla) Boland of El Paso, Tex., Steven Boland of Rochester, Minn., Tom (Darlene) Boland of Spring Valley, Minn., sisters Dede (Pat) Conlan of Watertown, Wis., Melody (Duane) Meyer of Rochester, Minn., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Myra will be held for family and close friends on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley, Minn. Burial will take place at Millet Cemetery in rural Spring Valley.
