Mary Miller, age 92, of Winona, Minn., died Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Winona Health.
Mary was born December 15, 1933, in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Frieda Lewis, the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Cresco High School. She was united in marriage to Edwin Miller. She farmed with her husband on the family farm for 45 years. She was proud of his Norwegian heritage. Later in life, Mary moved to Lanesboro and had jobs at several local businesses. She was a member of Highland Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed having coffee with all of her friends at the Highland Store. In 2021 she moved to Winona and resided at Watkins Manor for four years, where she had many friends, including a special friend, Esther. She spent her remaining months at Lake Winona Manor. Mary enjoyed taking trips to the casinos in Red Wing and Marquette. She was a kind woman, a beloved wife, sister and aunt.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews: Kristine (Mark) Hall of Mankato, Minn., Joy (Dan) Will of Winona, Jim (Gloria) Dotzler of Winona, Bob Urness (Marilyn Bender of Las Vegas, Nev.) of Winona, Jerry (Molly) Urness of Owatonna, Minn.; and many other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, siblings: Raymond, Paul, Bernetta, Ruth, Opal, June and Bill; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Oswald, William, Leo and Mildred.
Interment will be at Highland Lutheran Cemetery at a later date, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
