Lory Anne (Leibold) Shaw, age 63, of Blooming Prairie, died at her home on Monday, December 25, 2023. Lory was born on November 10, 1960, in Spring Valley, Minn., to Edwin and Alean Leibold. She was united in marriage to John Shaw on October 29, 1977, in Spring Valley. John and Lory lived in Spring Valley until 1990, when they moved to Blooming Prairie. Lory worked for 12 years at the Spring Valley nursing home and once settled in Blooming Prairie, she spent 33 years as a CNA at Prairie Manor Care Center. In her spare time, Lory enjoyed feeding birds, her fish pond, baking, and gardening and canning. Every Christmas, her gifts would include her canned goods. Most of all, Lory cherished her time with her husband, kids and grandkids. She loved caring for others, but especially her own family.

She is survived by her husband John Shaw, children Jayson (Lynn) Shaw, Sandy (Cory Kleeberger) Okorie, Gary Shaw and Allen Shaw; grandchildren Dylan Okorie, Desmon Okorie, Daniel Okorie, Carter Kleeberger, Mikaylah Gunderson, Garret Shaw, Alexa Esplan, Payton Tomlinson, Brayden Shaw and Jaylynn Shaw; siblings Stanley (Nancy) Leibold, Mavis (Lester) Miland, Glenda Woods, Jeffrey (Julie) Leibold, Lisa Link, Randy Leibold and Theresa (Ron) Kohler; and many nieces and nephews.

Lory was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edwin Leibold, Jr.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Blooming Prairie Cancer Group for all of their support.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, Minn. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Blooming Prairie City Cemetery at a later date. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
