Lola Williamson

Lola I. (Nelson) Williamson, 80, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at CGH Medical Center.

Lola was born July 2, 1938, in Lanesboro, Minn., the daughter of Willie and Bertha (Gates) Nelson. She married Kenneth Williamson on June 16, 1962.

Lola graduated from the Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn., and became a registered nurse. Lola was proud of her nursing career. She touched many lives in different capacities of her profession, ending a fulfilling career at CGH Medical Center.

Lola loved spending time with her family and friends, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, and was always on the go. Her friends were a big part of her life. They spent lots of time coffeeing, watching movies, and attending RFHS sporting events.

Survivors include her two daughters, Andrea (Brad) Leuschke of Rock Falls, Ill., and Stephanie (Joe) Prisco of Rochester, Minn.; five grandsons, Patric (Erin) Leuschke, Matt (Jessica) Leuschke, Andrew (Sydney) Leuschke, Alex Prisco, Sam Prisco; four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Mindrum and Ruth (Jim) Ostrem, both of Lanesboro, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Janice Nelson and a brother-in-law, Johnny Muzik.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant grandson, three brothers: James Nelson, Robert Nelson, and David Nelson; three sisters: Jean Bremseth, Margaret Nelson, and Lois Muzik; and grandson Mitchel.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 4-6 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral was held Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial concluded at Coloma Twp Cemetery.

Memorials: Rock Falls Public Library or the CGH Respiratory Department.
