Leslie Arlis Wangen, age 66, passed away on July 8, 2022, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester Minn., after a short illness. Leslie was born in Lanesboro, Minn., on May 21, 1956, the son of Palmer and Leona Wangen. He attended school in Harmony, Minn., until 1968 and finished his education at Mabel-Canton. Leslie work odd jobs throughout his life. He also was good at doing woodworking. He moved around quit a bit, until making his home in Harmony. Leslie was a kind person and had made a lot of friends in his lifetime.
Leslie is survived by three sons: Chris, Zake, and Brady; mother Leona Wangen, Mabel; brothers Larry (Rhonda) Wangen, Texas; Arlis Wangen, Harmony; Rick (JoAnn) Wangen, Cresco, Iowa; and sister Vergene Kelly, Canton. He is also survived by eight nieces and seven nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Palmer, brother-in-law Jim Kelly, niece Brenda Wangen, great-niece Abby Burke, and many aunts and uncles.
There will be a celebration of life at the Canton Town Hall September 18 from 3-5 p.m.
