John C. Woltz, 82, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Brisbane, Australia. He and his twin brother Kenneth D. Woltz of Wykoff, Minn., were born in Algona, Iowa, on November 30, 1943. John grew up in Iowa and Minnesota, and graduated from Chosen Valley High School, Chatfield, Minn., in 1962. John played guitar with his sister Jackie at various spots in the Rochester area. He loved to explore caves and visited many in Minnesota before joining the Navy and seeing the world. Upon leaving the Navy he lived in Sydney, Australia where he met his wife, Anne Ruddick. Then moved to Melbourne, Australia with his family and finally ended up in Brisbane, Australia. He worked with computers worldwide and also taught young children how to use computer.
He is survived by his wife Anne, daughter Kate, and two grandsons, Hayden Ridley and Reuben Ridley of the home. He is also survived by five sons: Matthew, Andrew, Michael, Robert of Brisbane, Australia and Jon of San Paulo, Brazil. John also had a numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Myrle W. Woltz and Ida Mae (Hansen) Woltz, sister Jackie Johnson and brother Myrle W. Woltz Jr.
He will be missed by many.
