Jo Marquardt obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Memorial service for Joe Marquardt will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March 8, 2025, at Faith United Methodist Church in Spring Valley, Minn., with Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Joe Marquardt, age 67, of Spring Valley, Minn., died Saturday March 1, 2025, at Cottage Wood Senior Living in Rochester, Minn. 

Joseph Bryan Marquardt was born June 12, 1957, to Marvin and Adelia (Dunford) Marquardt. Joe attended and graduated from Spring Valley High School and was united in marriage to Louise Wingert on December 1, 1979. Over the years Joe worked for many farmers in the Spring Valley area and farmed many years for himself. 

Joe is survived by his wife Louise and his children Bryan (Tiffany) of Spring Valley and Jessica of Stewartville, grandchildren; Mckenzie, Draven, Logan, Liam and Dalton; five sisters: Becky (Don) Hodkinson, Jean Schroeder, Trudy Marquardt, Cindy Musolf, and Sharon (Glenn) Rasmusson; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Adelia Marquardt his in-laws F.J. and Beverly Wingert, brother-in-law Jay Musolf, Tom Hartley, Bruce Wingert and sister-in-law Tracy Wingert.
