A night later, things were tougher versus Lester Prairie. The Bulldogs led 32-31 at halftime, but Houston won the second half 27-19 to post a 58-51 win. Torgerson again led the way (19 pts, 9-14 FTs, 13 rebs, 5 stls) with a double-double. She scored her 1,000th point, joining the list of Houston girls who’ve done so in recent memory (Abbey Loken, Kelly Jerviss, Alyssa Rostad, Emma Geiwitz). Kingsley (14 pts, 4 asts, 6 stls) and Carr (10 pts, 6-6 FTs) also hit double figures. N-Beckman (9 pts, 3-7 threes) again hit multiple trifectas. The ‘Canes were plus-nine at the free throw line; 18 of 28 to L-Prairie’s 9 of 18. Houston (3-2, 6-3) has won three straight.
