Caledonia volleyball, ranked #6 in AA, went 5-1 on the week, topping Z-M and La Crescent/Hokah each 3-0, only losing to Class AAAA Waconia (7-1) at the Apple Valley Tourney. Aubrie Klug had 22 digs versus the Lancers. Chatfield, ranked #3 in AA, beat Cannon Falls 3-0, and took second at said tourney, avenging a loss to Class A #3 Fillmore Central, also only losing to Waconia. Cora Bicknese had 18 kills and 27 digs versus the Bombers. Torryn Schneider was 20 of 20 serving with 6 aces, 7 kills, and 15 digs, as R-P volleyball topped D-E 3-0. The Trojans were 72 of 74 as a team with 15 aces. The Warriors (3-0, 9-1) and Fillmore Central (3-0, 6-2) top the TRC while the Gophers (2-1, 6-3), R-P (2-1, 5-2), and L-A (2-1, 4-4) are tied for second place. Mabel-Canton topped Houston 3-0. Gwen Rein had 35 assists and 4 aces, Kinley Soiney 18 kills and 4 aces. The #4 in A Cougars (3-0, 8-0) lead the SEC-East over SG (3-1, 3-1). Grand Meadow beat L/P and L-O in SEC action and started the year 8-1 before dropping a trio of tourney matches. Hallie Hendrickson had 4 kills, 28 assists, 8 digs, and 3 aces on 27 of 27 serving, Cheyenne Bakke 21 digs, in the win over the Athletics. The team had 15 aces versus the Cards. The Larks (4-0, 8-4) are tied atop the SEC-West with Southland (4-0, 4-0). Olivia Yohe (19 assists, 13 digs, 8 aces) neared a triple-double as Houston beat Schaeffer Academy 3-0. Spring Grove’s Ricardo Reynolds scored 18 total points in four different ways (TD reception, TD run, two-point run, four PATs), as the Lions (2-0, 2-0) blanked Faribault B.A. 54-0. Talan Lewison scored three different ways (TD reception, TD-run, 76-yard punt return TD) as LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli (1-1, 1-1) topped W-K 33-22. Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston boys’ soccer went 0-3 on the week but Landon O’Heron scored five of the Warriors seven total goals.
