Fillmore County Journal - Fillmore County Sports

Landon Skalet threw for 5 TDs, sophomore Kobe Lind caught three, as R-P football opened by beating Kingsland 54-12.  James Hongerholt ran for three TDs, as Houston beat AC/GE 38-6.  Sophomore Carson Kiehne ran for three TDs, Tyler Raaen had two sacks, a 58-yard interception return, and a blocked punt, as FC beat Hayfield 31-0.  Chatfield scored 21 points in the fourth quarter, plus a play, to beat Pine Island 21-7.  Blake Henry had a TD catch, two sacks, a forced fumble, and two recoveries, as M-C held off GHEC-Truman 30-16.  Lanesboro edged Madelia 12-7.  Houston volleyball started the year 3-0.  Sydney Taylor had 20 kills, though Lanesboro volleyball lost to L/P.  Lauren Buchholtz had 19 kills, as Kingsland beat L/P.  Lexi Thorson had 24 digs as M-C beat GM.  LARP sophomore Luke O’Hare took seventh at the W-K cross country event, the only non-senior in the top ten.
